Weddings have huge gatherings, fancy food and glittering decorations. With all the fun and rituals, environmental concern is neglected. But a new trend of eco celebrations has begun with eco weddings.

Eco-weddings? What is it?

These weddings are organised in an eco-friendly style to reduce their impact on the environment. Plastics and non-biodegradable products are avoided completely in almost all the items used in these weddings.
Decorative items are free from shiny plastics. Instead of plastics reusable and compostable items are used. Plastic spoons, cups and glasses are replaced with reusable steel or biodegradable items. Non-biodegradable gifts are not appreciated. Bouquets and gifts can be replaced with saplings. Garbage produced is segregated and measures are taken to reduce waste.
